Solar Pool Cover

If the swimming pool is just a little too chilly, a Solar Pool Cover can help warm it up without costing you a fortune. Instead of using energy that costs money to heat the pool, you can use free Solar Energy which is also clean and non-polluting.

How Pool Covers Work

Covers are especially helpful at night when the sun goes down and the swimming pool loses the most heat.

They reduce evaporation.

Evaporation requires energy. The heat from the pool water is used to provide this required energy so the pool cools as water evaporated. Pool covers reduce evaporation, keeping the pool from losing heat.

They keep the heat in.

The covers trap the heat so it can't leave the pool. If you heat your pool, keep the heat in with a cover.

Some pool covers will transfer heat to the water.

Some covers will not only keep the heat in, they will actually transfer heat they absorb from the sun to your pool.

Enhance Other Heating Systems

Whether you have a non solar or solar heating system, a pool cover can make it more effective.

Once you've heated the pool, the cover will help the pool retain that heat. This means the heating system doesn't have to work as much and you save money.

Types Of Covers

Covers come in a variety of materials. Better quality will, of course, last longer. Some keep the pool from losing heat while others actually transfer heat from the sun to the water.

Caution: Not all pool covers are meant to be walked on. Make sure you, your family and anyone around your pool know what kind of pool cover you have. You don't want any accidents spoiling your fun. And now ... to the pool!
