Refrigerator Door Alarm

Are you sure your fridge door is closed? With a Refrigerator Door Alarm, you can always be sure!

Do you have a house full of people constantly going in and out of the fridge and not always closing the door? Or are there just a few family members with the bad habit of not closing the refrigerator door? Whatever the reason, having the door open unnecessarily wastes energy.

When The Door's Left Open, The Alarm Goes Off

The concept is simple: if the door remains open for a specified amount of time, the alarm will sound. It does not sound every time someone opens the door, just if the door gets left open. When the alarm sounds, the door's open, energy is escaping and someone needs to go shut the door.

For Old Or New Refrigerators

This alarm feature is available on many new refrigerators. If you're handy, you can make a battery powered one for your existing or apartment unit. We've seen them online through unknown companies but buying one to install to your fridge will be a challenge. If you have an older, less efficient refrigerator, we recommend investing in a new, Energy Efficient Refrigerator.
