Last year I was awarded a grant to make my home more energy efficient and the problem I have is with the windows that were installed. Immediately after the installation, I observe my electric bill get higher and it concerned me. My wife and I took a look around the house and observed large gaps in our newly installed windows. We also started seeing pieces of the latches break off with the slightest touch.
I called See-thru-Window people and they sent a guy out. He stated that our windows had been discontinued due to too many complaints.
We brought our neighbor over and she informed us that she had a totally different set of windows. I have complained several times and they are not offering to replace the windows with quality material and continue to send out a repair that can’t fix the problem.
My biggest issue is that they deliberately installed faulty equipment in my home which has caused me hardship on my monthly bill that has doubled since the installation. I am a soon to be retired Chesterfield Firefighter have served in VA for approximately 5 years and transferred from Washington, DC; working as a firefighter for 12 years.
I want the quality windows that my government paid for. I want my entire house redone with adequate and approved windows for this program!.
Thank you sincerely,
