My wife and I are considering installation an energy efficient door for pets to take advantage of 2010 tax credit for door/windows. We have been searching around but haven't found one. I'm wondering if it does exist. THANKS for your answer.
I live in Canada and it gets as cold as -40 for a few days of the year. I have a dog door on the north side of the house and the wind comes from the north west. I have just a dog door bought at a pet store and it is not perfect for winter so I nailed a nice looking towel to the top 2 corners as an extra flap and it keeps the cold out even better. It also does not hinder the use of the door.
Other then that there is no energy efficient dog door I have ever seen.
